Heliport and Out of hospital emergencies

Hospital de Cerdanya/Hôpital de Cerdagne hosts teams and vehicles of the Catalan (SEM) and French (SAMU) out-of-hospital emergency services. These teams (technical, medical and nursing personnel) are activated by their corresponding regulatory centers in Barcelona and Perpignan and work in close cooperation with our hospital's the Emergency Services.

The Hospital's building has also a helipad, that receives incoming HEMS flights from both SEM and SAMU as well as from other organized rescue services of both countries. Outgoing HEMS services are usually performed to transfer critical patients to the corresponding referral hospitals.
